This is a Mk 3 helemet, stamped 1944 inside, with a brand new (old stock never issued) 1944 chinstrap. The liner is older, however, and dated 1953. Never issued helmet in its original paint - although I have sprayed some on the front to cover some rust scarring and you can see from the inside some surface rust but nothing that detracts from the helmet - just adds to its authenticity.
