BRITISH BEETLES An introduction to the study of our indigenous coleoptera By E. C. Rye L. Reeve & Co, London. 1890 Second Edition. Revised and in part re-written by the Rev Canon Fowler Hardback book. A pproximately 7 3/4” by 5 1/2” in size. 275 pages, with 16 colour plates. Russet cover with gilt writing to the spine, and gilt design on cover. Book in good condition for its age. Slight b umping to the corners. Bumping/rubbing to edges of book and spine, and along vertical edge of spine. Next to no foxing on main pages. Foxing to inner cover pages, up to title page. The binding is good throughout. Slightly grubby cover, with a few stains. The spine has darkened slightly. Stamped number at the bottom corner of inside back cover of book, and an Ex Libris sticker on the inside cover. Handwritten name, date and place on inside first page. A nice reference book to own. Have a look at the many other Antiquarian Books I have listed ! The book could be picked up in Bedford. I commute to Peterborough most work days, so it could be picked up there, or anywhere along the A1, between the two.
