First Edition of a long discontinued book " The Autobiography of Adam Thomson - HIGH RISK - The Politics of the Air ". Sir Adam Thomson was the Chairman of British Caledonian Airways . He flew with the RAF in World War II and left with just a few pounds in his de-mob suit. This book details how he brought British Caledonian Airways to success and then how he lost control to British Airways in the late eighties after many boardroom battles with Lord King. Published 24 years ago by Sidgwick and Jackson the book has 590 pages and the centre of the book has several pages of fascinating photographs of his early years and later the British Caledonian era with board meetings, meeting Royals and dignitaries and including the air hostesses in the fabulous tartan uniform! The book and cover is in good condition though three of the corners have slight bumps. On one corner there is a tiny bit of paper loss where the cover is knocked. The interior of the book is in superb condition...it does not look like it has been read....please see photos. The book is thick and heavy so has to be sent as a small parcel.
