Offered here is a vintage DIPLODOCUS made by INVICTA PLASTICS for the BRITISH MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY in 1974. This is one of the largest dinosaurs in the series measuring a full 20" from tip to tail. It is is great condition, made of solid plastic. He looks spectacular displayed on a shelf.The British Museum (Natural History Museum) is a world-renowned center of research, specializing in taxonomy, identification and conservation. Given the age of the institution, many of the collections have great historical as well as scientific value, such as specimens collected by Darwin. The museum is particularly famous for its exhibition of dinosaur skeletons, and ornate architecture, therefore sometimes dubbed a cathedral of nature.
