This is an original wartime Red Cross box probably having been used for bandages and medical equipment during the London Blitz. The box was in my aunts possessions when she died. She was in the Red Cross in London during the war. It measures 37 CM long x 18 CM deep and 25 CM high. The box is empty and a flesh/sand colour inside. Happy to send or for local pickup in Exeter/Tiverton/South Molton area.Update on condition - the box is used, has some dents, bits of rust etc. commensurate with its age. I suspect that it has been in a loft since the 1950s and appears unused for anything else. It is painted green with both the writing on the front and the Red Cross hand painted. I would gauge it as pretty reasonable condition for its age.Posted with eBay Mobile
