RARE BRITISH ORDOVICIAN ONDONTOPLEURID TRILOBITESELENOPELTIS BUCHI From the British Ordovician, Llanvirn Series, Hope Shales near Minsterley in Shropshire, this is a small example of this uncommon Odontopleurid Trilobite, although specimen is incomplete, any remains of this trilobite are extremely scarce from Britain, this example much being better preserved than most and shows much better preserved detail than the more often seen Moroccan specimenstrilobite is on a piece of matrix measuring approximately 13 cm by 7cm approx, 4cm deep, the specimen is 2cm in length not including the spinesthere are a number of noticeable hairline cracks in the matrix, this specimen was collected over ten years ago and has remained stable, and if handled with care will present no problems A NICELY PREPARED SPECIMEN OF THIS CLASSIC BRITISH TRILOBITE IF PICTURES FAIL TO APPEAR CORRECTLYJUST I have many more rare and interesting items listed in my other auctions.
