British Iraq Campaign Medal The Iraq Medal is awarded to British soldiers serving in the current Iraq War. The obverse shows the crowned head of Queen Elizabeth II, while the reverse shows an image of the mythical ancient Assyrian Lamassu, a winged bull with the head of a man, over the word “IRAQ.” Our reproduction features a bar with the inscription “19 MAR TO 28 APR 2003,” as issued to the British soldiers who served in the opening weeks of Operation TELIC, suspended from five inches of ribbon material. This medal comes without a mounting bar. We offer a British single medal mounting bar with pin-back, item number UKA001, that can be attached to the ribbon drape of most of the British medals we offer for sale. It features a slot through which the ribbon is passed, and a pair of holes on either side of the mount for sewing the ribbon to the bar. Please note that these are unissued. That is not awarder to any recipient. This is a high quality piece that will make a great addition to your collection or for re-enacting.
