17357 – Private EgbertMorris, Royal Warwickshire Regiment British War Medal Victory Medal All officially impressed. Background Egbert Morris was born in Tredegar in Wales (birthplace of Nye Bevan and Neil Kinnock). Morris moved to Birmingham some time before the outbreak of the war and joined (I suspect called-up) the 11 th Bn Royal Warwickshire Regiment in 1916 and was lightly wounded in November 1916 (gun shot wound to calf). On return to duty it seems he was posted to 1 st and 2 nd Bn of the Warwicks before discharge. Included in this sale are a large number of scanned documents from Morris’s service history, this pair of medals offer a superb opportunity for a research project. Medals are all in very good condition. Reason for sale: I’m a Warwickshire Regiment collector and these are from my own collection. I’m thinning out some of my items and concentrating on one aspect of the Warwick’s history. Guarantee: I offer a full return guarantee, if you’re not happy with any aspect of the sale you can return the medals to me within 7 days and I will offer a no quibble refund.
