being a British Mk 3 helmet often called by collectors the "Canadian" helmet as this style helmet was first issued to Canadian troops taking part in the D-Day invasion at Normandy. Helmet retaining 95% olive drab fine sand camouflaged finish, lacking liner and chinstrap. Helmet has high placed chinstrap rivets and chinstrap interior fittings, very good condition. This helmet was found with a small group of British WWII M44 Army helmets in an arsenal warehouse in Western Russia. We have no idea how these helmets came to be in this Russian warehouse; however, these helmets had been stored in this location since late WWII. We acquired all of the helmets in this small lot. We often preship our old objects to the United States for display at collector shows and militaria exhibitions. These objects are then held in our United States warehouse until being sold on Ebay and are shipped directly from our U.S. storage location.
