HUGE lot of brochures, letters, papers, ephemera and photos all found together. Would have at one time been from the estate of John Shirk who was a banking executive in the early 1900's in Brookville, Indiana. Includes: 1895 recital program Brookville Acadamy of Music. 1924 financial report of ME Church, Brookville. 1903 honor roll of same. 1911, 1912 and 1916-17 Brookville Historical Society brochures. 1915-16 women's Social Club, Brookville yearbook brochure. 1896, 1897, 1899 and 1904 Saturday Club brochures. 1918 Men's Bible Class banquet program. Two 1921 Family dinner program Royal Arch mason's. 3 receipts from Indiana University from the 1870's. 36 letters and postcards written to John Shirk and Shirk family mostly pre 1910. includes a couple wedding invitations. About 50 snapshot photos and negatives, not identified but found with the lot. May or may not be a big leap to assume they are of Shirk family members. The items overall have some age and wear, some age darkening on some, some wrinkles. Still an interesting lot of stuff. I take packaging very seriously.
