Robinson used a blue ball point pen to autograph the sweet spot of this baseball. This baseball has been engraved below Robinson's signature with "Brooks Robinson #5 1983 Hall of Fame 268 Home Runs 2848 Hits 18X All-Star 16X Gold Glove 2X WS Champs 1964 AL MVP". In his playing career, Robinson was selected for the All-Star team 18 times, and played in four World Series, winning two of them. He compiled a .267 career batting average with 2,848 hits, 268 home runs and 1357 runs batted in. Robinson led the American League in fielding percentage a record 11 times, and at the time of his retirement, his .971 career fielding average was the highest ever for a third baseman.
