This is simply one of the finest live recordings of the Boss I have ever heard. Like catching lightening in a bottle, this recording captures Springsteen at a time when he was just starting to explode upon the music scene. As Bruce has aged, he has explored many different avenues of creativity. His sound has mellowed and become somewhat folksy. You won’t find that This recording features a young, hungry artist who’s only goal was to take his audience on a white-knuckle thrill ride, leaving them stunned, exhausted and most definitely in awe. What a set list! Songs like " Rosalita" and " She's the One" invite you to sing along at the top of your lungs. While 4th of July Asbury Park makes you sit back and hear a story with character so rich you’d swear you knew them. And " Born to Run" which is introduced as " Tramps Like Us" , is a nothing short of a classic. But best of all, the quality of the recording is amazing. I've heard clips of this concert before, but not like this. All of the raw energy you’d expect is t, but somehow it’s been remastered. It sounds like it was read more
