I am listing all of my Springsteen Longbox CD issues this week. Many of these have not been sold on eBay in 10 years or more. You may wait another decade to see one offered again!You are bidding on a rare CD longbox version of a Various Artist compilation titled "Music For The Miracle" issued by CBS Records in 1986. When CDs were originally introduced in the U.S., they were packaged in these 6" x 12" cardboard "Long Boxes" so that they could fit into the LP racks in record stores. In 1992, the Long Boxes were eliminated from mass production due to public outcry over the wasted packaging. (Some longboxes were produced for later releases in very limited quantities for certain U.S. retailers). Since most music fans just tore open and discarded the long box, sealed copies of these CDs are some of the hardest items to find for serious music collectors.
