I love these Large Alpha Hunters for their tremendous strenth,smooth as silk operation,and good looks. is one from my collection with the Idaho tang mark that had the rubber soft grip scales.I replaced them with thick (about 3/16") paper ivory micarta.I polished the frame and blade bright.I've been working with genuine ivory recently and the finished look is amazingly similar.This micarta material is 100's of times more durable and is said to give even a better sticky grip when wet with sweat ,blood ,or water.The knife is 5" closed and comes with the original sheath in near mint condition.The knife has never been used or sharpened. I made a slight but nice change to the scales and contoured them to better fit the hand.You can see it in the added pictures.Thanks,Don
