Buck Knives 30 Year Service Award Description: This truly amazing knife is one of a kind. You will find only 10 other Black Knight daggers with Damascus steel , but you will find no other exactly like this one. This is the only Black Knight Damascus dagger with a fileworked guard and pommel. It is 1 of 1 . This is the ultimate collectible Buck knife! The Tear Drop Damascus blade is stamped with the initials of Buck Knives custom maker JeffLegerton's name. It is stamped "Buck Custom USA" with serial number "040" engraved into it. This is therefore the 40th 30 year service award given by Buck Knives. The handle material is Twisted Water Buffalo, red and black paper, Bloody Jasper, and Nickel Silver spacers. This is a non-profit sale for ePrague, and all proceeds go directly to the Buck employee to whom this award was given. "The model 977 Black Knight dagger was only shown in Buck's 1992 and 1993 catalogs. There were only 10 made for the public during that time and they were all made of polished 425mod stainless steel with polished buffalo horn handles. There were also about 16 more made as service awards to long time Buck employees. Of the 16, only 10 were made in damascus steel. The custom notes are not very detailed but there were maybe 5 of the 10 that had buffalo in the handles. Each of these 5 are uniquely different in one way or another. This particular knife is the only one with a fileworked guard and pommel."
