This is an original Antique Cast Iron Buckeye Implement Seat. This as well as a few other seats were found in old dairy farm in South Thomas, Maine. Along with this seat, was found a Taylor ( SOLD ), an American Harrow( SOLD ), one from an unknown maker, and a Hocking Valley( SOLD ). All of which have been listed in our eBay store, so please feel free to stop in and take a look. None of the seats have been restored anyway, and are exactly in the condition in which they were found. The seat retained its original spring, and there are no cracks or fractures in the cast .The discoloration seen on the surface of the seat, is simply a mold or fungus, from the decades of exposure to the elements.
