Item Description: This is a very rare personal fountain pen and lead pencil set owned by Bud Abbott of the famed comedy team Abbott and Costello. According to Bud Abbott Jr., this was his father's personal pen/pencil set given to him by Lou Costello who had these made and gave them to close friends and associates. These six-inch wooden baseball bats are engraved "Who's on First / Lou Costello" and "Universal Pictures" on each bat in red and green colors. Great condition. I've never seen another set of this remarkable keepsake in all of my years collecting. This comes with a Letter of Provenance if the purchaser requests. The items come with the original red box. This auction piece was acquired from Bud Abbott, Jr, and comes from the collection of Stephen Cox, coauthor of the book "The Abbott and Costello Story: Sixty Years of Who's On First?"
