Buddy miners' carbide cap lamp made by the Ashmead Manufacturing Company of Ashland, Kentucky. Complete with the cap braces which are usually broken off of these lamps. This is the earlier model with with crimped bottom short base, which was a carry-over from the earlier Elkhorn by the same manufacturer and the short knurled top. Minor dings and scratches from use but a nice solid lamp.
