BUDWEISER 1999 State Convention Stein . First in a series of four. #17647 This series of steins represents the Evolution of the Budweiser Label. Budweiser was introduced to America in special embossed glass bottles in 1876. Paper labels were used in 1883 after Adolphus Busch obtained sole ownership of the brand. It was not until 1891 that the name of the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Association appeared on the Bubweiser labeles. This 1917-1918 label was the first one printed entirely in English, a direct result of America's entry into World War I against Germany.
