BUILT IMPRESSED CAR 9th SS NORMANDY 1944: 1/35 Made in America by an American craftsman! This impressed civilian car model was built from a Pyro kit of a 1934 ford Victoria. This Victoria looks similar to a photo of an impressed car used by the 9th SS panzer division Hofenstaufen shown in Ian Baxter's photo history of SS divisions "Western Front." The use of civilian cars impressed by the German military, modified and camo painted, was common all through the war. I have stayed true to the configuration shown in the photo including the tree branch foliage used at this time by all vehicles of the Wehrmacht in the Normandy area to reduce the risk of air attack. The foliage is not glued on and can be taken off if desired. I try to make my models look as prototypical as possible. I work from a large collection of World War II period photographs in black-and-white and color. All paint colors are mixed by hand to match the weathering conditions of field use. As a World War II history buff myself, I consider these models to be historical reproductions. See "About Us" below for more details.I ship worldwide. International shipping costs will be determined by destination after the auction. I charge only the actual cost of postage.
