BULGARIA 1942 - a truly interesting vintage collectible - a full color poster published in Bulgarian weekly magazine POLITICS ILLUSTRATED, No. 197 of August 24th, 1942; The poster depicts a detailed picture schema of American battleships stating that "1/2 OF THE AMERICAN FLEET LIES ON THE OCEAN BED"; all ships are titled. Poster has a large size of 50 cm/35 cm 19.7" / 13.8 " (I photographed it together with a postcard here on scan No.6 so you can get an impression of the poster's size); offset litho printing; A fine early document, 100% original. You will get THE WHOLE 20 pages magazine (WWII era beauty sized 25cm/35cm smiles on the title page as you can enjoy on scan No.4 here); caricatures on last page, depicting Stalin et all. as on scan No.5 here; more actual news like portraits of Japanese kamikazes or sad pictures of the "Bolshevik paradise" plus other German propaganda as usual for German ally Bulgaria in 1942. Poster is in overall good quality, some ROUNDED CORNERS as on scan, colors are strong - see scans or request more scans. The magazine has some problems as you can see on scan 5, but title page is OK and most of the content is even better; LIST OF THE SHIPS' NAMES AS WRITTEN ON THE POSTER: left side: USS SARATOGA USS ENTERPRISE USS EAGLE BOATS USS PENNSYLVANIA USS DUNLOP USS NEW MEXICO USS SOMERS USS HOUSTON USS read more
