Here is one of the most outstanding operatic recordings out there. It is an Edison 4-minute BA cylinder record #28133, Gilda's aria . Caro Nome from Verdi's Rigoletto, sung by soprano Selma Kurz with orchestra. The aria is one of the most difficult in all of opera. And Kurz sings great. She had it all, low notes, high notes, crescendo- decrescendo, trills, runs, the way singers used to sing. No one today can top this singing. I am having trouble parting with this one, but what the heck, let someone else enjoy it. Cylinder is in fine condition, no issues. Will pack well for safe shipping.
