This is an interesting... about one quart size... Butter Churn. It stands about 8 & 3/4 inches tall... 4 inches wide... and appears to be in excellent condition. Itâe(tm)s made up of a square glass base... with a metal screw on lid... that has a cast metal... geared... cranking devise âeoerivettedâe to it. Tâe(tm)s a wooden handle on the âeoecrankâe... and a wooden âeoepaddleâe type beater attached to the shaft running down into the glass bowl. Cranking the handle activates the large geared wheel... that in turn moves the smaller geared wheel thatâe(tm)s attached to the shaft that goes down into the bowl w the mixing paddles are suspended just above the bottom. I assume itâe(tm)s for making butter out of cream!!!... The one side is marked... âeoe 10 DAZEY CHURN & MFG. CO. âeoe... and on the other side... âeoe FEB 14 22 ST. LOUIS USA âeoe The top of the cast iron cranking devise has the name âeoeDAZEYâeoe cast right in it. Neat... unusual... interesting piece!!!... Would look super... as a decoration... in an Early American style kitchen!!!...
