~Primitive Bee Skep Pillow~ This Bee Skep Pillow would look great resting on a garden swing or bench. I handmade this primitive pennyrug style pillow. It is my own design and pattern. It was made in my smoke-free home.The pillow measures approximately 9-inches x 9-inches.The pillow front was made from a primitive bumble bee and flower print cotton fabric. The background of the fabric has a prim coffee(dark tan) stained look to it. I blanket stitched a penny rug style bee skep to the pillow front. The bee skep was made from tea stained gold woolfelt, and a black wool felt entrance hole. To complete the pillow front I also added black wool felt letters to spell out the word: "B-U-Z-Z-Z". I stitched the letters on using black quilting thread. The stitching looks as if I machine embroidered it, but I did it all by hand.I backed the pillow with a piece of black wool felt, and tightly stuffed it using new polyester fiberfill.
