Thank you for looking and please email me if you have any questions. ******** MARGARET IRENE CHADWICK ARRIDGE HRMS, NS, FSBA Margaret (Peggy) Arridge was born in Salisbury, Wiltshire in 1921. She emigrated with her parents to South Africa in 1937 and has since lived in Johannesburg, where she teaches art privately. Having won the Royal Drawing Society’s Silver Medal at the age of 17, she studied miniature painting under Violet Butler and was elected an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors & Gravers in 1949. She is now an Honorary Member. Peggy returned to London to study art between 1950 and 1954, both at the Chelsea College of Art and privately under Bernard Adams, RP, ROI, NS. She has exhibited at the Paris Salon and annually in London at the major societies, including the Royal Academy.
