Up for bid is a Vintage C E POTTER Nut Cracker / Cast Iron (2 Pieces). This simply wonderful old nutcracker with it's 2 piece design is in excellent shape. This nut cracker is made of solid cast iron (both pieces), and is built for the enjoyment of nutcracking for the whole family.This easy to use piece will make the tradition of christmas nutcracking enjoyable for the whole family, even the children, and it cracks a very wide variety of nuts, even those hard walnuts, black or plain. The wide and high sides means that all of the shells stay in the compartment, and not all over the floor. This piece measures about 4 1/2in high, and the width of each of the sides on the base are about 3 1/2in, and 3in. This piece is all original, right down to the outer coating, and has not been repainted or reconditioned in any way. So enjoy this holiday season with a vintage favorite, that won't leave a big mess, and be t for the family for many years to come!
