Fine c1891-1902 Tiffany & Co Sterling Silver Porringer w/Carved HandlePresented is a fine old sterling silver porringer by Tiffany & Co. This piece dates to circa 1891-1902. The porringer is a single handle style, with the handle carved from rich mellow oxbone. The carved handle is beautifully aged, displaying all the natural graining and crosshatching you'd expect to see. The silver is polished to a bright finish.The porringer is in great overall condition. The carved handle has two small chunks missing, but is still sturdy and in good overall shape. The silver has no dents, no splits, no monograms, no breaks, and no repairs.The underside of the piece is stamped with the Tiffany & Co. hallmark, sterling and the initial 'T' for the company director between circa 1891-1902, Charles L. Tiffany. The underside is also marked with the capacity, 2 3/4 gills, which is about 11 fluid ounces.The porringer measures about 7 inches from handle to side.The porringer weighs 196 grams or 6.9 regular ounces.-jmPowered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
