The copper is 10 - 12 g auge (which is extremely thic k for copper) a nd other parts are made of cast and tuned brass. These would have been custom made and been very expensive. They have the original General Electric porcelain sockets. You will not come across a pair like this again for a very long time. The patina of these antique sconces is something that is priceless. The brass has blackened and the copper has went light green.
