c1918 Original WWI POSTER FOLLOW THE BOYS IN BLUE ENLIST IN THE NAVY George Hand Wright, Artist From a Connecticut Estate Auction comes this Original WWI NAVY RECRUITING POSTER: FOLLOW THE BOYS IN BLUE- FOR HOME AND COUNTRY-ENLIST IN THE NAVY. Produced by the U.S. Navy Publicity Bureau between 1914 and 1918 and painted by George Hand Wright (1872-1951), this was printed by the Gill Engraving Co. Measuring 21” x 29”, this shows civilian men in line receiving their navy gear and boarding a battleship as they prepare to ship out and fight for their country. It is in excellent used condition with very minor wrinkles, a tiny amount of foxing in the lower left corner and a little roughness at the right edge, none of which will interfere with framing. This will be shipped rolled in an insured Priority Mail tube.
