is an early 20 th century Bell Systemcandlestick phone without dial. It includes the ringer box. The phone is approximately 12 inches tall overall. T are a number of markings on the phone. The base is marked âeoeWestern Electric Companyâe. The earpiece is marked âeoePat in USA April 16 1918 May 20 1913 June 3 1913âe. T are no markings on the stem. The mouth piece is marked on the back: âeoeAmerican Bell Telephone Companyâe, and on the front: âeoeProperty Of / American Tel & Tel Co / 388 / Pat USA Jan 14 1913âe on a mounted oval plate. (I may have the patent date incorrect, it is hard to read.) The ringer box is marked: âeoeWestern Eledtric / Made In USAâe. The wiring diagram is intact and marked: âeoeP-24404Eâe on the top left, âeoeIssue-1âe top right, and âeoe534Aâe bottom right. Condition: T are some cosmetic bumps and scrapes to the surface but t are no cracks or chips. The wires appear to be original. The earpiece wire is frayed and the cord to the ringer box is also frayed. The felt on the bottom is in pretty good condition. The spring lift of the earpiece hook works fine.
