Meissen Coffee Pot with Lid Ca. 1924-1933 Dragon Design with Bird Dates between 1924-1934 with the Pfeiffer mark showing the dot between the swords.You may know that Pfeiffer was the general manager at Meissen from the years 1924-1933. But then the Nazi's forced him to resign. (Source: The Book of Meissen , pg 270.)Meissen first quality mark with no incisions through the swords.It comes used and shows wear including the following chips:The top of the lid shows one chip each on two of the flower bud petals. See my photos #9-10-11The underside of the lid is missing two of the extended porcelain pieces that hold the lid onto the pot. See my photo #8. The area on the pot that the lid would have slid into has two chips as well, but my camera couldn't pick these up.One chip is showing on the lip of the spout. See my photo #12I found no other chips, cracks or breaks. The finish is that beautiful Meissen shine, the colors are lavender to deep purple/maroon, and gold.Measures with lid about 10" high and comes in at a weight of 2 pounds 7 ounces.I've attached photos for you to further evaluate condition and authenticity.
