This large c1940s French Deco Westminster Chime 8 Day Wall Clock has a signed Vedette silvered dial with raised chrome numbers and hands, a high quality triple train movement, 8 long beautiful sounding chime rods and an attractive deco case with carved detail and a beveled and cut glass door panel to view the ornate chrome pendulum. The clock makes an excellent appearance and displays beautifully but, as should be expected on a vintage clock, it has some minor scratches, nicks and imperfections that do not detract from its overall appearance. The signed silvered dial has some wear and imperfections but is still excellent. The high quality well made signed Westminster Chime movement is running and chiming the quarter hours and counting the hours properly but I do not know when it was last serviced. This clock has a beautiful sounding Westminster Chime and hour count! Note the 8 long chime rods; 4 are used for the Westminster Chime and the other 4 are for the hour count. All 4 hammers strike the rods simultaneously for the hour count. Please use all of the photos to help you evaluate this beautiful French Westminster Chime Wall Clock. This large and heavy wall clock is approximately 24" high x 18" wide x 6 1/4" deep.
