The rose is just about to bloom and the petals are done in pink rose gold overlay, the stem and leaves are yellow gold overlay. Engraved veining on the petals and leaves gives the look of a real flower. The gold overlay process gives the look of real gold at a fraction of the price. Measures 1 3/8 inches tall by 3/4 inch wide. There is a 1970 ad in Julia Carroll's "Collecting Costume Jewerly 202" that shows similar pieces. Box is in pristine condition as is the brooch, still strung to the card. A real beauty!
