Gorgeous c19th Chinese Famille Noire vase. Vibrant hand enamelled court scenes with Mandarins, princes and courtesans. Amazing detail. Famille Noir panels to either side with peonies, chrysanthamums and flowers, all in vibrant enamels. The border to the base and top of the vase in aqua, pale rose and yellow. Stylised handles to either side. Famille noire lid topped with a Dog of Foo. Excellent condition, no visible damage. SSome wear to the enamel commensurate with age and in no way detracts. Measures 37 cms high, 9cms depth.
