Superb and typical Georgian era (ca. 1780) sentimental diamond heart cluster gold. The heart measures 12x11mm and is paved with 12 old mine rose cut diamonds of various sizes, having a total estimated diamond weight of about 0.40 carats. Due to age, it is difficult to give an exact estimate on the diamonds’ color and clarity, but they are generally in the J-K color range and SI2 clarity. The heart further has what appears to be a round cut green garnet or tourmaline with a diameter of 4mm and approximate weight of 0.35 carats. The heart itself is set on a filigree base with the ring having tiny floral ornaments on both sides. Ring size is 50 (US size 5 ¼, UK size K), but can be resized to other nearby sizes. Gross weight of the piece is 2.5 grams of 9K rose gold and was most likely crafted in England or other Western Europe countries. Truly scarce and exceptional antique jewelry collector piece and one of the rare Georgian diamond hearts rings and jewels.
