Realphoto postcard, titled in the negative “#10 / CCC 606 Little Rock Cal ”. Along-distance shot showing about a dozen barracks and buildings nestled under brush-dotted hills; a close look with a magnifier reveals some fellows on the grounds, and a couple of vintage vehicles. A pencil note on the back reads: “ My first camp location Nov. 4 1933 to April 19, 1934 ”. CIVILIAN CONSERVATION CORPS Company No. 606 was composed of “junior enrollees” from Illinois and was originally stationed at Camp Wyeth in the Mount Hood National Forest. The company later moved to Littlerock, Los Angeles County, California, on the very edge of the Mojave Desert north of the San Gabriel Mountains. Noko stamp box; unused; light typical wear, basically about fine. Condition as scan shows. A rather scarce memento of a California contingent in President Franklin D. Roosevelt's "Pine Tree Army".
