Up for auction is a vin t age stampless partial letter and cover combination, that was mailed from Marysville, California and addressed to Seth Smith, Long Green Academy, Baltimore County, Maryland. Docketing shows the letter was mailed in 1853. Cover also has Norris ravine written at left of postmark and the name Ezra Hoyt above the addressee's name. Only page of letter that remains is the last page. Someone, not realizing this would one day be floating around cyberspace cut off the bottom of the page, which had the writer's name.
