NEW!!! Cable-Blade and detailed engine Conversion for Tamiya's 1/48 scale Japanese Dozer kit. Super resin kit by BACKWOODS MINIATURES. Kit also includes new 'hoodless' bodysides to show off detailed, pre-assembled engine. Up for sale here is an O-scale (1/:48) pro-moulded kit to convert Tamiya's recently introduced 1/48 scale Dozer - which has a hydraulically-operated blade - into an earlier Le Tourneau type cable-operated blade. Be aware that whist Tamiya's kit builds a model of a Japanese Dozer, the prototype was actually a hastily copied version of a captured US Dozer - and so is remarkably close to a small Caterpillar . Scrape off the moulded-on 'KOMATSU' lettering from the Tamiya kit's radiator surround and you won't know the difference. This Cable Blade conversion is is the latest addition to the pro-moulded TRUCKS DELUXE range of highly detailed classic vehicle kits from BACKWOODS MINIATURES in England. Finished models built from these kits are also perfect for use in O-scale or On30 model railroading. Thanks to these models being light-weight, they make ideal flat car loads compared to heavy diecast metal dozers. Kit includes superb quality, professionally moulded resin parts designed for simple assembly using thin-type superglue. Brass wire is also included.
