Rare. I know that they made this form 1900-1906, that would have a green backstamp, the backstamp on this is purple and I cannot find a record of when they used that colour. I know that the mount and lid are sterling and would have been done by gorham. The other examples I have seen at retail were ! Fruit:1100USD and had no silver mount and lid. and !2 Fruit 800 with a small chip on the base, again no mount or lid. (you can search the web for examples but they are few and far betweenwith the silver mount and lid I was offered 550 10 years ago and 700 last year, so let's start at 600 and see where we go. this one is in great condition with 1 pinhole glaze bubble and a fractional amount of play in the mounting strap. (the metal piece that wraps around the handle to hold the lid on. ) it is not "loose" and opens and closed properly. I mention the above because I have gone over it with a magnifying glass and don't want any misunderstandings.The silver needs to be cleaned but it won't be by me. I plished the top to better read the monogram.
