I am offering a very nice etching titled "Monte Carlo" by Cadwallader Washburn (1866-1965), an American artist well-known for his etchings. There is a great deal of biographical information about him on the internet besides what I have below. He was an adventurer, he was deaf, he was a good artist and he lived to be 99. What else can you say - a unique individual. If you google his name, you will learn he was most renowned for his drypoint etchings and this is a prime example. It is titled in the plate, lower right "Monte Carlo". It is dated in the plate, "May 12 ???)" It is signed lower right in pencil "Cadwallader Washburn". It is titled Lower left, "Casino Terrace". As well, it is dedicated lower left in pencil, "To Fae and Forest Huttenlocher, a token of affection from Margaret and Cadwallader Washburn Oct 22 nd , 1947" . The print measures 5 ½"x7 5/8" the plate and 9 ¾" x 14 1/2" the sheet. It is in very good condition, with some age toning that is very uniform. The top corner has some loss also, but the margins are very large, so it is not near the image. Please see my photos. I ship USPS Priority Mail. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. If you are in the U.S. and you use BUY IT NOW, I WILL PAY SHIPPING AND INSURANCE. Your satisfaction is guaranteed or a complete refund. Good luck bidding!
