The item is Calcite of the variety Calc-tufa . This is a nice piece. The whole piece is just under 1 & 1/2 inches long, 1 inch at the widest point, and 1/2 inch at the thickest. It has a DM paper tag and one numbered white paint tag. Originally From Yellowstone Park, Wyoming. Weighs 15 grams total. Interesting because of the locality of the stone ! Comes with one hand written in label from Michigan College of Mines . I include any and all old labels. If I do not show them in the pictures and mention them in the description then they do not exist. Thanks. This is an excellent addition to a professionals or amateurs collection.
