CLEDONIAN RAILWAY COMPANY button - thistle and lion - Silver coloured button. Nice condition. Back stamped: EXTRA RICH QUALITY. Approx. 25 mm diameter Caledonian Railway Company operated between 1830s and 1923. From a collection of buttons formed in the 1920's in Ireland. The collection was purchased from the grandson of the collector and had been stored in boxes in an attic. His grandfather stopped collecting in the mid-1920s and so all buttons must date no later than this.The collection includes military, sporting, police, railways and society buttons and will be listed over the coming months.
