You are bidding on the May 24, 2014, issue of the Blood-Horse magazine, featuring California Chrome, Victor Espinoza up, on the cover winning the Preakness Stakes at Old Hilltop. This weekly magazine is published in Lexington, KY, and is full-color, full-glossy. Among the many short items are the "go" from NYRA for California Chrome to use a nasal strip for the Belmont Stakes, co-owner Steve Coburn taking Churchill Downs to task for his "Derby experience," a full pedigree, official chart with summary of California Chrome's Preakness, Victor Espinoza's second try at a Triple Crown (after War Emblem in 2002), and racing in China. Features on the Preakness and the undercard, Alan and Steve Sherman, photo-panels of the Preakness field at different points of call, and Per Antonsen, the trainer at Harris Farm in California, where California Chrome was schooled as a yearling. This magazine is SOLD WITHOUT RESERVE and is best-described as being in LIKE NEW condition. Note the mailing label on cover and note that it went through the US Mails unwrapped. I opened it only to takes photos. Listed simultaneously is the June 7 Blood-Horse with Chrome on the cover awaiting his Belmont Stakes showdown.
