This is a large, beautifully executed Southern California landscape by listed California artist Roy M. Ropp, who was one of the Laguna Four and founder of the Laguna Masters society. He was directly involved in founding the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna, and is a listed California artist with very good auction records. For what it's worth, there is a similar painting on the internet offered at $4500. The desert verbena in this painting is done in a beautiful impressionistic style. I think it might be of Mt. San Jacinto?I am selling this to help pay my daughter's college tuition! I had this professionally framed in a plein air style frame and really love this painting, currently hanging in my office. It measures 34"x30" framed; without frame, 30" X 28" approximately. Please note that there is a tiny pinhole which could be easily repaired with a dab of like colored paint.
