This book is Call for the Saint by Leslie Charteris, pub. by Doubleday & Co. for The Crime Club, c. 1948. It's a stated First Edition & in very good condition. It includes The King of Beggars and The Masked Angel. The book is very good. The pages have darkened, I think - they're that kind of paper. T's that glue discoloration going on inside the covers and one small dark spot that I think is residue form a Cameron's book store sticker. The dust jacket is very good. It does have chipping on the head & foot of the spine and along some of the edges. T's a 1/2" closed tear at the bottom edge of the front and one smaller one in the back - but that one has folded down & creased. T's also chipping on the corners w the dj cover folds to the dj flaps. It has an unclipped price of 2.00. T's a bookplate inside the front cover. It has a 1948 date on the title page and 1947, 1948 on the c. page (the stories were published in abbreviated form in Mystery Magazine) and it's a stated First Edition on the c. page. None of the boks I list have funky odors. I have other vintage books listed & am always glad to combine shipping on multiple wins.
