You are bidding on a CALLING black duck drake duck decoy in full plumage hand carved and painted. This decoy is in orginal paint and has taxidermist glass eyes which measures approx. 17" x 7 1/4 " x 9 ". Fine detailed bill with an open mouth, tongue,even teeth in the mandril ! hundreds of feathers with a spectacular blend of paints,irridescent purple speculum and a warm mellow patina. The decoy is made in the calling position to fool even the wariest of all ducks. Decoy is made from northern white cedar to last a life time and for sure a collectors choice. Decoy is carved in the Ben Schmidt style and is signed by the artist. Great gift for that special someone, for the mantle or shelf or can be used to hunt with .
