Beautifully crafted brass camera lucida with 12 clear lenses and an extra blue lens. "Chambre Claire Universelle - Modele Depose - Brevete S.6.D.6. Made in France" Hard case with red velvet and satin interior. Individual lenses are numbered 1 - 12 (please see picture). Item weight is 1 pound.A camera lucida is an optical device used as a drawing aid by artists. It was patented in 1806 by William Hyde Wollaston.
