This is an original belted Cameron plaid fly. It has a belt that buckles in front and sits under the dress belt, holding the fly in place behind. It is 36 inches long in the Cameron tartan with a 36 inch belt. It has a very nice green rosette in front. I don't know exact age but as it came with other WW1 Cameron gear, I am dating it as such. Shown in second photo on the back of my Cameron tunic, in another auction Shown in third photo with a fantastic Cairngorm brooch I have in another auction. Shown in last photo as an ensemble with all seven items: including original feather bonnet; fantastic Cairngorm brooch; 1853-1881 79th Cameron officer genuine horse hair levee or full dress sporran; 1843-1881 79th Cameron Highlanders officer dirk belt; and 1856 79th Cameron Highlands officer doublet or tunic with red silk officer sash.
