This is a full size cloth Search and Rescue (Para-rescue) parachute badge from Canada . It is in excellent unused condition and appears to be unsewn. I obtained this parachute badge in 1984 at CFB Petawawa while on an Airborne Operation and Training Exercise with the Canadian Airborne Regiment and the CSSF. It came directly from Canadian military sources, so t is no question of authenticity. This badge is illustrated in Bragg & Turner's book, PARACHUTE WINGS as B&T#2083. This style badge has been in use by the Canadian Search and Rescue since 1981.
