Up for auction the next few days we have some more fascinating old photographs from Quebec City , one of the oldest settlements in North America . They come from an old scrap album. After some internet discusion we think the photographer's name is DeCou who ran a photograph studio from New Jersey yet specialized in Candian views and often working for the Canadian Pacific Railway. Who ever he was, his photos are of exceptional quality with very high resolution that you will be able to see in the scans. Over the few days we will be selling a small goup of albumn photos. Most of the scene are from the Quebec City dock and market place. The views have the fell of a old European market. The photos are all about a 100 years old and are about 5" by 4", mounted on vintage (7" by 7") albumn paper. A cork board backing hd been added to preserve the photo's integity and ready it for mountin, Quebec City is one of the oldest European settlements in North America .
